Use of Faith United Methodist Church
CIYC members are guests in Faith United Methodist Church. Singers are expected to enter and exit the building quietly, show respect for all church property, and adhere to policies established by CIYC. Running, yelling, and rowdy behavior are not permitted in the building at any time.
At the request of Faith Church, please enter and exit at the north end of the building. Parking is available at the north end of the east side of the building.
To minimize commotion and avoid disrupting the meetings held in rooms along the hallway, we ask families not to linger or converse in the main hallway. Families may use The Gathering lobby area at the north end of the church to wait for singers.
Use of outdoor playground equipment is not available to CIYC families.
Drop-off/Pick-up Policy
Music Makers need to be escorted to Choir Room 25 by a parent or designated adult.
Concert Choir singers may be dropped off at the north door, but a parent or designated adult must come inside the building to pick up their singer after rehearsal.
After rehearsal, staff will escort both Music Makers and Concert Choir to The Gathering lobby area for release to parents. Parents, please wait in The Gathering to pick up singers.
No Music Maker or Concert Choir singer will be released to exit the building without an adult because of safety issues in parking lot traffic.
Rehearsal Preparation
Choral singing requires focus, attention, and energy.
- Please feed your singer a snack or light meal before rehearsal.
- Please be sure your singer uses the restroom before rehearsal.
