Central Illinois Children’s Chorus offers four choirs to meet the needs and interests of its choristers.
Music Makers is a choir for younger singers, designed to nurture a love for singing while developing the child’s musical skills. Along with performance etiquette, children learn to read basic rhythm, sight-sing simple melodies, and harmonize through singing partner songs.
Concert Choir is the intermediate-level choir. The focus of this ensemble is to develop vocal technique, music literacy, and musicianship. Singers learn to read a choral score and further develop part-singing skills.
Chamber Choir is the advanced treble choir. This group performs a wide range of challenging repertoire and frequently performs with area orchestras and in University of Illinois School of Music productions.
Youth Chorale is a small ensemble for advanced, high school singers selected at the discretion of the conductor.
